Meet
Pastor Elliot

I was raised as a child at Liberty Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where I was baptized, and my spiritual formation began. After being baptized at the age of 12 by confessing my faith and feeling convicted that I needed Jesus, it would be years before I truly understood Him as Lord and saw Him as Savior, the one who calls me to repent of sin and follow Him. Through God's providence, after graduating from Johnson & Wales University with an associate degree, the Lord pressed upon my heart to begin serving in different ways at Liberty Grove when I moved back from college.

In 2016, I was ordained as a minister of the gospel and served as an associate minister under the senior pastor of Liberty Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Ardeal Roseboro. After Pastor Roseboro retired, I served as the interim pastor for a year and was then elected to serve as the pastor. I was installed as pastor in February 2022.

I spent time growing and learning in various seminars and cohort classes, which provided education in ministry and clarity about God's specific calling on my life for the local church. I believe that everyone has a particular purpose in the body of Christ that brings life to them individually as they serve the needs of those who benefit from their God-given gifts.

I truly believe there is no person or local church that has all that is needed to serve our community by themselves. Together, as we connect, we can make a great impact by making disciples through our obedience to love God and our neighbor, empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Elliot Boston is a proud husband to Joyce Boston they have three children Elijah, Grace, and Jade Boston.
